Hot Bodies Camp

The HOT BODIES - CAMP project invites a group of car mechanics to build within old car frames, habitats for a post-capitalist world. Departing from collective discussions around such notions as Utopia, Survival or Ecology, it holds on science-fiction to unfold their visions of our potential futures.
The first edition of HOT BODIES - CAMP took place in Paris in collaboration with LE CENTQUATRE and the Lycée Jenatzy.
In 2019, the HOT BODIES - CAMP has been created with the auto-mechanic students of the INSTITUT SAINT JOSEPH in Brussels in the frame of the FREE SCHOOL program of the KUNSTENFESTIVALDESARTS.
In this frame, the students tuned a Volvo car, wrote a hip-hop song and prepared a lecture for the audience in their installation room at RECYCLART.

HOT BODIES – CAMP invite un groupe de mécanicien·nes automobiles à construire, à partir d'anciennes carcasses de voitures, des habitats pour un monde post-capitaliste. À partir de discussions collectives autour de notions telles que l'utopie, la survie ou l'écologie, le projet mobilise les imaginaires de la science-fiction pour déployer leurs visions de nos futurs possibles.
La première édition de HOT BODIES – CAMP a eu lieu à Paris, en collaboration avec LE CENTQUATRE et le Lycée Jenatzy.
En 2019, HOT BODIES – CAMP a été développé avec les étudiant·es en mécanique automobile de l'Institut Saint-Joseph à Bruxelles, dans le cadre du programme Free School du Kunstenfestivaldesarts.
À cette occasion, les participant·es ont transformé une Volvo, composé un morceau de hip-hop et imaginé une conférence performée présentée au public au sein de leur installation à Recyclart.
